Re: error: No appropriate assignment

Only 2080 in Linux struggling to get WUs under latest client. Your 2060 is a different story. Also Windows 10/11 is a different story. And your client is a different story. So your system actually is not similar. Many WUs has restrictions on GPUs, OS, etc. Here is the example of official release not...

Re: PCIe bandwidth requirements (RTX 50xx edition)

Maybe not really relevant to modern cards but... I tried same GTX 1660Super with 3 generations of PCI-E: PCI-E 3.0 x8, PCI-E 2.0 x8 and PCI-E 1.0 x 16 and PCI-E 1.0 x 4 (!) Only PCI-E 1.0 x 4 showing 5%-10% lower PPD but it's second card in the system and running a bit slower https://i127.fastpic.or...

Re: error: No appropriate assignment

But RTX2080 still struggling to get WUs, so...
Is there any limitations for RTX 2080 on 12495, 12497 WUs? (vav18.fah.temple.edu)
Is it possible to add RTX 2080 to the list of cards for these WUs?

Re: error: No appropriate assignment

That's weird. I tried 3 generations of Nvidia cards and all struggling to get regular WUs (RTX 2080, GTX 1080Ti and GTX1660 Super). Looks like activation of beta WU's is the solution for now. But for some reason RTX 2080 not getting any beta WUs at all and still struggling to get anything. Is there ...

Web client not showing remote machines while connected through range extender

Linux Mint, Web client 8.5.5, latest Chrome or Firefox, DLink DAP-1530 Range Extender. I have a bit poor WiFi signal near one of the machines and tried WiFi Range Extender. Client works fine while machine connected to a router with USB Wifi Dingle. If connected though extended network it says "...

Suggestions for final release

To be honest the appearance of 8.4.9 was near perfect.

Maybe its good idea to make "Machines Total" section customizable so people can bring back mach/cpu/gpu totals to machine view if they want?
And make disable/enable checkbox for new chart under appearance section?

Re: What happens with dumped WUs?

You DO realise that point are made up and don't matter?? Project does not need attitude like that. I do realise that something broken and need to be fixed because in the spring of this year all projects produced approx same amount of points. Now the difference between projects is getting worse and ...

Re: What happens with dumped WUs?

They pause to think why you dumped them. Please do not dump WUs I won't do it once the point system is fixed. Sometimes I'm dumping "shitty" WU's with low PPD outcome. I already mention about brocken point system in another topic but looks like nobody cares and it's getting only worse and...

Don't want to make another topic, so just ask here.
Client ver 8.4.9
Sometimes I dump WUs with dump button and these WU's are still indicated as paused. Why?

Re: PCIe bandwidth requirements (RTX 50xx edition)

But for what it's worth to anyone, I also (surprisingly) noticed quite a difference going from x8/x8 pcie 4.0 to x8/x8 pcie 5.0. At least 2-3m PPD on the combined total for both cards. These are trends I've noticed over multiple days. So take it with a grain of salt if you will, but from what I'm s...

Re: 12129 is cruel to small GPUs

For p12129, the short answer is : we don't know why some trajectories are slower than the original ones. I started approx 10 of them but completed only a couple. Picture was the same: all trajectories of p12129 produce significantly less points in terms of PPD then other projects. Also please take ...
