Re: Estimated Date to End of Life FAH 7.6.21 Client ?
No, date. There is no plans to disable it, yet. So you are safe. It might lose some functionality, when servers and infrastructure are being moved to better support v8, but v7 will still be able to get work and fold from quite some time ;) If you haven't done so, I add your vote to that feature/req...

Re: Potential Future Additions to GPUs.txt? Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 and eGPU RTX 5090M ?
Hello again muziqaz and Joe_H, Absolutely, I will provide the PCI ID if the ePGU is not detected. It's likely obvious but it is a Nvidia GPU, the mobile version of the GeForce RTX 5090 namely the 5090M. It was released in February and is available to pre-order right now. It will be available from th...

Estimated Date to End of Life FAH 7.6.21 Client ?
Hi everyone, I hope this message finds you well. I wish to ask, do you have any estimated date when the older 7.6.21 FAH client will no longer support folding? I haven’t switched to the FAH 8.4.9 client yet since I’m waiting for the following feature to be implemented: https://github.com/FoldingAtHo...

Potential Future Additions to GPUs.txt? Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 and eGPU RTX 5090M ?
Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well today. I wish to ask if the following upcoming GPU and eGPU will be supported in the future for use with the FAH 8.4.9 client? My educated guess is yes, using the current contents of GPUs.txt but I wish to verify this before I purchase these GPUs in the nea...

Re: Win11 Folding Client preventing Monitor sleep at lock screen since 22H2 update
Hi VxJasonxV, I’m sorry to hear this is happening. It sounds similar to the issue mentioned in this Windows article, namely “Because of this, Windows will not power off my screen automatically, and the computer won’t go to sleep automatically” (Source: https://www.windowslatest.com/2022/10/23/window...

Re: Not Folding At Full Power On Restart?
I am seeing similar problems with the lack of performance after updating to NVidia's latest studio driver. 512.x seemed fine, 516.59 seems to get virtually no work done. Edit: On follow up, something caused a reboot of my win10 computer two nights ago. Since then the 516 driver has been cranking ou...

Re: 511.23 a bad driver?
Just an update from me. Had issues with low performance with 511.23 and downgraded to 472.12. All well. And a few days ago upgraded back to 511.23. Performance is good and according to Folding in the dark my GPU is 20% better then the average 3060TI. This time I did not install the Nvidia Experienc...

Re: 511.23 a bad driver?
By the way, I detected an issue in OpenCL drivers embedded with 511.23 drivers : it's 15% slower on FAH than with previous drivers I had (from November). This slowdown doesn't affect CUDA on my systems, only OpenCL. I also tested another OpenCL application, but it wasn't affected by the slowdown. I...

Re: 140.163.4.200
Hi everyone, I hope all is well. Similar to the original poster I have one GPU slot down since yesterday evening since it cannot obtain work from this server 140.163.4.200. I don't receive responses from this address when I ping it. My other GPU slot is using 207.53.233.146 without issues. Can the s...

Re: Win 10, v7.6.21 doesn't start
Thanks PantherX. I actually prefer this CLI mode. v7.6.21 is working perfectly for me with Windows 10 when FAHClient is used in CLI mode.PantherX wrote:Assuming a fresh installation of the latest version, this is what I would expect:
FAHClient can run in CLI mode (the GUI version is FAHControl).

Re: Error: Application FahCore_21.exe has been blocked
Hi toTOW, bruce and foldy, Good news! I have had my system running F@H for 36 hours and it completed 55 WUs which included 7x Core 22 WUs. The Core 22 WUs made the GPUs run a little hotter usually at 69 or 70 C rather than 64 or 65 C. Boost clock speeds were unaffected at 1950 Mhz. GPUs usage was 92...

Re: Error: Application FahCore_21.exe has been blocked
Did you try increase TDR delay? No since I didn't experience any TDRs during the stress tests. Also isn't increasing that delay simply ignoring the issue why the TDR is occurring in the first instance? I'm going to resume folding on Friday evening and see how things go. I have a feeling things will...

Re: Error: Application FahCore_21.exe has been blocked
Hi bruce and toTOW, Sorry for the delay in updating this thread. I have stress tested the GPUs within my system using PrimeGrid and the benchmarks Unigine Heaven and Unigine Superposition, each for 8 hours without any issues. https://unigine.com/en/products/benchmarks https://www.primegrid.com/ I’m ...

Re: Error: Application FahCore_21.exe has been blocked
No, keep your setup as it is now, just disable/enable GPU slots alternately ... if you remove physically one GPU from the system, you might miss something if the issue is related to power ... I'm still wondering how the Optane caching system could affect the client or explain the crash ... Did you ...
