Re: Power requirements - GPUs cutting out

No, each card has its own cable back to the PSU.

Re: Power requirements - GPUs cutting out

Thanks for all these great suggestions. There's plenty of airflow with a big Coolermaster case, multiple fans - though the air circulation is possibly not so good around PSU so I'll check that. The GPU-Z sensors show the voltage for the cards completely stable, but CPUID - HW monitor shows 12v volta...

Power requirements - GPUs cutting out

I have an annoying problem with my folding rig i72600k @3.70 GHz, with two Gigabyte GTX570OC graphics cards. Using a Coolermaster SilentPro Gold 1000W power supply. At present I am only folding on the two gpus. Mainly getting Core17 units. I get recurring crashes which leave no trace in logs or wind...

Re: 171.64.65.98 (Was: 7.3.6 Results not sending)

Actually I have other activity on the network that might be hogging the upload bandwidth. Maybe that's it.
Thanks all

Re: 171.64.65.98 (Was: 7.3.6 Results not sending)

I'm connected at 126 Kb/sec upstream but the client seems to send it in 12 Kb chunks - I don't think it's the connection speed that's limiting it.

Re: 171.64.65.98 (Was: 7.3.6 Results not sending)

As far as I can make out from the logs work unit 01 been trying over and over for about 6 hrs. It fails after 15 minutes which is why I wonder about a time-out. I have a reasonably fast ADSL connection. The slot has subsequently finished another unit (7811) work unit 00 in the log and uploaded it OK...

171.64.65.98 (Was: 7.3.6 Results not sending)

I am having a similar problem with another server - upload failing at about the same point for hours - is there perhaps a timeout? 23:44:37:WU01:FS02:Upload 54.83% 23:44:37:WARNING:WU01:FS02:Exception: Failed to send results to work server: Transfer failed 23:44:37:WU01:FS02:Sending unit results: id...

Re: Project 7809 (7, 192, 16) sudden slow down, "about" erro

I had this problem also with 7809 (1,151,6) and when I followed these instructions resetting SMP from 4 to 3 I got an unstable machine code and FAH dumped the unit, so probably a bad unit? (Previously successfully completed multiple 7809s on this configuration)

Re: Completed WU (Apparently) Hung In "Send" Mode

I'm getting the same problem on 171.67.108.11

Server status shows both 171.67.108.11 and 171.67.108.21 down (vsp07v and vsp07b)

Similar problems WUs 5765, 5768, 5771

I have just had problems with these units completely stalling in the same way on 3 different GPUs on 2 different PCs. The logs aren't very informative - just nothing for two hours. I've had to dump them.

They were units running core 11, so thanks for the information - very reassuring!

Re: Folding@Home GPU Comparison Database

I would like to start gathering data on GPUs and their points per day (respective to each project) to make a comparison database. I have an HFM.net database of approx 1000 units on GTX570s over last three months, all core 15 (2.22). Not always sure about clock speeds as I experiment a bit. Another ...

Re: Projects 7624-25 Points

For what it's worth, I have done 80 units 7624-7626 on GTX570s and have experienced an average reduction in ppd of 20% - so its not just on lower-end cards
