Re: Having issues with GPU client

I think so but for right now I am going to let the client run totally undisturbed and see what we will see. In the mean time I will use my laptop.
And I can live without Window Washer. It is a nice little auto app but manually running CCleaner would be fine with me.

Re: Having issues with GPU client

I very well may have opened another app - maybe my e mail or a word processor. Also I have a program called Window Washer that runs automatically every hour tidying up bits and pieces. The only way I can be sure that nothing else is going on during a run is to close down Window Washer and not use an...

Re: Having issues with GPU client

Three posts back - cannot run it as a service under Windows 7. I know how to close it properly but it will cause issues with other family members who cause issues to begin with. ;-) EDIT: I closed down properly as you can see in the log and added a case fan which brought the temps down nicely. Eithe...

Re: Having issues with GPU client

That is going to be a problem. This computer is not for my exclusive use and while it takes not time or bother to simply minimize the client window to the taskbar it will, at some point of the day, be closed down improperly but one or more other people using this computer. I will have to install the...

Re: Having issues with GPU client

I am keeping the window open for a few days until I am comfortable with the install. Will report back if things go awry but I have a good feeling about this. Thank you so much for your help. I am glad that all the effort is finally going somewhere. Not now - but in a few days - I sort of need a remi...

Re: Having issues with GPU client

I followed these instructions as I did when I installed the CPU clients : http://fahwiki.net/index.php/How_do_I_i ... newbies%29
I have no UAC issues with those but since this is glitchy I will uninstall and make a folder as you posted and begin again.
Will post back shortly.

Re: Having issues with GPU client

According to GPU Z temp is at 76C after running FAH for about 15 minutes. It started at 71C and climbed a bit but has been holding steady at the 76C for about 5 minutes now.

Re: Having issues with GPU client

OK here is my real reply. Let me see if it will post I am going to attempt to reconstruct what I did AFTER I noticed things were going wrong: In the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs I uninstalled the CUDA Toolkit and Folding@Home Win32 gpu. I rebooted. I ran CCLeaner several times in there to pick ...
