Re: Azure servers down 40.121.152.108 / 52.224.109.74

Sorry for the troubles, and thanks for your patience! We're working with the Azure folks to get these machines up to accept work units.

Re: Client fails after suspend

Yes, issues like this would be challenging to fix in the current client. We're putting our development effort into a new client that will resolve many of the various issues that have come up lately, and be easier to update/maintain.

Re: Wuhan Corona Virus

Thanks! I agree these are important problems. The lack of new antibiotics is particularly troublesome given expanding antibiotic resistance. The Kasson lab stopped participating in FAH some time ago, but my lab has a couple of virus projects going.

Re: Wuhan Corona Virus

These viruses are fascinating. We've recently started working on Ebola and have our first publication on the topic in the works. We also just published our first paper on the SFTS virus.

Re: Install package checksums

You are correct that we only have so much bandwidth and have to make judicious choices about how to spend it. With regard to security, we've focused our efforts on features like signing cores to ensure that nobody can insert malicious code.

Re: Projects 9000-9040 psummary doesn't list HIV/AIDS/Bryost

I believe the work on Bryostatin and Src kinase are both "complete" in the sense that the researchers answered the questions they wanted to address, published the papers, and have now moved on to the next stages of their careers. I'm optimistic the work that has been done will inspire new ...

Re: FAH is working together with Rosetta?

There are lots of opportunities for collaboration. Rosetta is one of the best ways to design a protein to adopt a specific conformation. Folding@home is one of the best ways to understand how the protein adopts that conformation, and what sort of motions it undergoes once folded. The Voelz lab has s...

We don't have anything on immune deficiency right now, but are discussing some new collaborations on that topic. More on Alzheimer's coming soon.
