Its working! had to add -local -gpu 1 in the Target and -gpu 1 in the field above Machine ID 3 in the Configure I guess I had the wrong client or something... wowzers! the GT240 isn't SLI capable...

so... should I re-download the GPU2 client to make sure I did it right? Would the 240 run on the gpu3 client? IF so, could you provide the exact link so I dont screw it up?

You are correct in understanding my issue.

Actually my 480 was able to fold on the GPU2(623file)... running the GPU3(632 file) version now. same thing.

258.96 WHQL drivers.

NO sli bridge.
