Continue Folding While on Vacation??

I have been folding on my 9600GSO and 2 clients on the dual processor for several months without problems. Since it runs 24/7, I wonder if it's considered safe to let it run for 5 days with nobody in attendance? (Not even the cat will be here.)
We have a whole house surge protector and there's a separate surge protector for the computer. Your thoughts please.

I did when I went on vacation.
One thing I also did, is that I also turned off my water heater at the breaker: There is no need for hot water while everyone is gone and it will save some money.

I've run them when not at home, though I would set up vnc ( realvnc ) so you can correct any stalled clients it that might occur.. that is if you're leaving to a place with internet acces

Leaving the computer on while on vacation is no different than leaving it on over the weekend while no one is arround, or even on all night while no one is watching/using it.
If you trust the computer to not catch fire over night while you sleep, there is little difference in leaving it on for several days. And the "folding for several months without a problem" statement confirms it.
As a precaution, take a can of compressed air to it and clean out the dust and bunnies a day or two before you leave. It's sure to run cooler while you're gone. And as a general precaution, make sure your life and home owners insurance is paid up.

I'd agree with that. Before I got Uvnc running I'd come home from a trip and find stalled wu's. They'd generally stall 20 minutes after I left. I'd watch my points while gone on the trip and know there was something wrong but have no way to fix it.
Very aggravating....

I appreciate your suggestions. I ALWAYS turn off the water heater when leaving for a few days even though Duke Energy charges only .075 KWH.
I had opened the case (Antec Solo) just before my post and cleaned the dust screens in the front. They do a pretty good job, as there was merely a trace of dust in the remainder of the case.
The VNC suggestion was interesting in that I was not familiar with those programs. I have a neighbor who makes his living programming computers for a business in Slovakia, so I was aware that such things existed. I'll take a look at VNC some time in the future since it doesn't look like I'll have access to a computer on this trip.
