yesterday i bought a new video card, and i installed the GPU client, but it only shows "attempting to get work packets"
i tried all of them(sys tray and console) but no one connects

Hello ages_devil and welcome to the forum!

Are you behind a firewall or using a proxy? You may have to open up a hole in your firewall for Stanford's IP range in order to let the packets through.

Have you been able to fold successfully with the classic or SMP client from that machine?

i tried the CPU client for 2 months i think and it's working fine, i just finished a WU and uploaded it and downloaded a new one, while the GPU client can't even connect.

after trying many things, i found that eset smart security firewall prevent the GPU client from connecting the Internet while allowing the CPU client, so i disabled it until i found a way to add the GPU client to the exception list or whatever its name is
