3rd party stats usually lag behind about an hour after Stanford updates the stats. Perhaps you hadn't turned in any WUs during that update.

well no they were both showing the same WU count and points both sites showed 860 WU and 260,653 points. the only thing different was the rank.
862 WU and

now on the 3rd party just in this short time ive moved up 2 ranks to 4944 on that site without new points or WU

but on stanford site, i moved up 3 ranks to 4980 with 261103 and 862 WU

so the lag aside, the ranking is completely different

Your team did get 244 points on their last update which moved you up a couple places and if you get more points on the next update you will move up a couple more.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the difference in rank. I know that if, for example, a user has a name of john and another user uses john<at>hotmail<dot>com then the two are consolidated on o/c stats ending up with 1 user where there's actually two. Perhaps something similar has happened with some of the team names.

Eventually, as you proceed up the list, the ranks should become within two of each other. Stanford counts the two top teams (aggregate) in your team's page ranking where o/c does not. i.e. there will always be a difference of two.

if stanford was counting the aggregate and the other isnt, stanfoprd should be higher not lower in rank right? but stanford is the lower one

Hi,

Here is how the team I'm on shows

official 1823
Kakao 1818
EOC 1818

So Stanford is the lowest so I would not know why they were the lowest for you.

anyway its a really cool tool, the thing i wanted to see was who i was close to and what they looked like which it does. is there a page like that for me personally instead of the whole team?

As in a personal page on EOC?

From EOC's FAQs:
Q: Why don't we have user (individual) stats?
A: Individual stats are added when the team rank reaches at least 800. It is possible for individuals to be added sooner if the team's rank is at least 1,200 AND their rank has gone up by at least 5 spots in the last 7 days. So the more active teams get added sooner.
However, Kakao provides personal stats pages for everyone.

The link to Kakao stats is on the tool bar at the top of the forum page.

Go to EOC site. Go to All Users List. Page through until you find your name (default sort is by points). Click on your name. Viola - you see yourself when you will overtake / be overtaken by just about eveyone else in the folding world. Enjoy!
