This is getting really old... since the core version is the same as its been for quite some time I just can't believe that could be the problem.
My only observation that can put these problems into perspective is that they started happening after updating to v6.24. Could just be a timely coincidence as well...

"Warning: long 1-4 interactions" is probably an inherent problem in that WU. It's highly unlikely that it has anything to do with the client version.

Then please... would someone kindly please pull this WU from production. Once again I've found this WU on my machines this morning and the client is hung after the "Warning: long 1-4 interactions". Same results... same story... lost cpu time for the project.
The Linux SMP client was getting to be pretty hassle free, but this is probably the 10th time I've seen this error in the last two weeks.

Question... because it's marked bad, doesn't that mean I shouldn't pick it up again?
Just curious what the process is because it's on the same box again this morning.

Unfortunately, the process is not automated ... it only generates a list of bad WU, but someone has to manually remove them. And they'll only do so when someone has some spare time.
