CPU cache

I'm curious as to how much cache affects folding, such as would I see a difference on a Core 2 Wolfdale-3M vs. the Wolfdale with a fullsized cache, if they have the same clocks? or a difference on the Pentium Dual Core(core 2 architecture, but with a smaller cache than the core 2, but larger than the celerons) compared to a Core 2 of the same architecture and clock?

I've found a method to add boxes to my team, but it involves me setting up computers that other people get to use, using their electricity, and not stressing my RV's breakers, but it involves me buying computers for the 6 other people who live on the same plot of land, and I'd like to know if I'm going to see much difference if I save some costs.

2 MB cache is sufficient for full speed at this time, anything less might run slower on some work units, but normal speed on most others. Clock speed is much more important. Naturally, quads are way better than dual cores.
