Translation to other languages

Do you have any plan to allow someone to translate the official web site (http://folding.stanford.edu/)
into other currently unsupported languages ?

Like the previous web site, for instance, I hope the current one had Japanese translated version
to encourage lots of folders in our country.
If there are any contacts for language contributors, I would be happy to join the translation.

Thanks!

Just translate these pages and we'll find you a contact to post it.

Do you mean I just need to post HERE as "I've done translation!",
and someone will tell me how to upload them ?

So there used to be a 日本語 version but it has disappeared with the revamp of the site?
I doubt that complete re-translation is necessary then. The old texts should still be available, they just probably need to be reformatted, updated and maybe verified.

The changelog is pretty interesting. The most active one updating the site seems to be Vijay. ;) However there are other users who manage localized versions like AntonioLucendo, CarlosReis, ThomasNordengen, OwlyK and others.

Wait. There's also 7im! Hope he reads this and gives some insight. :)

Edit: Actually this topic should be moved under Discussions of General FAH. The translation is not related to this forum as far as I understand..

There "used to be" translations (lots of them) when I first joined in July '07
However, when F@H site was redone, almost all of the translations have disappeared.

I was wondering if Stanford/Pande were going to bring them back.
It makes sense and will probably help the cause... as F@H now runs in about 100 Countries Worldwide!

Peace

I'm sure they'd be happy to publish the translations once somebody volunteers to create them. Surely we have native speakers of the various languages that can do that for FAH.

Which language are you volunteering to help with?
