Cores are resetting. Why?

I'm not sure if there is another topic just like mine since this forum is VAST!
Whats happening on my computer is that its resetting the core after some time starting from 0 again. I'm running the cpu+gpu client. Everything started after i put in the gpu part. I would really be sad if all that computing power would go lost like that by having to the cpu part alone.
My current setup is this:
Intel E4600 dual
Nvidia 8500GT 256 Ram
2GB Kingston HyperTransferX 1066Mhz
Motherboard is a Gigabyte P35-DS3R
I'm Running on WinXP SP3
Also i have the following settings
CPU client: BigWU+Adv+NOT locked core
GPU client: Normal settings
Please help me people! I would really like to maximize my output to contribute to the project.
