Dear friends,
I am an editor, looking for the best stories that have already been published on FAH and distributed computing in general. I am looking for general interest stories, from, like, Focus or GEO or Scientific American or New Yorker, whatever.
Of what you ve read - has something created a good impression on you?
Thanks!

The F@h project page (on the Results page) has a link to Google News, showing a lot of F@h articles. Start there...

Thanks 7im,
that I did; here is my issue: I m not looking for news alerts, but rather some cool in-depth story, which would show distributed computing as a lifestyle, show history, community, the scientists, etc. Something New Yorker style, except that New Yorker havent covered it.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe you could look at stories about building machines in the FAH Hardware forum, some are written like stories (with pictures), from choosing parts to putting machine into production ... here are some examples :
My 4 GPU monster : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4209
jfarque's 3 GPU machine : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3928
The Folding Farms thread : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1560
MoneyGuyBK's beast : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4684
ExtraFloppy's builds : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=5863
You can also read this funny thread, in which we're talking about FAH like an addiction : viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4166
It might not be exactly what you're looking for, but it could be a good start.

I'm afraid we don't have exactly what you expect (or I don't understand correctly what you need).
Maybe someone else will get your point, and give a better link than mine.

German c't magazine hat a pretty in depth article about the Large Hadron Collider computing grid (which is NOT to be confused with the LHC@home BOINC project). Unfortunately this article is in German.

I think Maximum PC may have had an article, too, since my son found out about FAH there.
