Displayed time is shifted by one hour

As I am in Hong Kong which is in the UTC+8 time zone, I select this time zone in the User Control Panel > Board preferences.
For instance, the actual time in Hong Kong is 19:49 or 7:49 pm,
but this forum display the time as 8:49 pm.
I think the possible reason behind is that this forum assumed everyone come from USA and therefore must observe DST during Summer, while actually there is exception like me.

The time is correct for me : I'm in UTC+1 (Paris/Madrid) with daylight savings ...
Make sure you didn't check that box if you country doesn't have daylight saving. Or check it if you observe it.

You're right about daylight time but you're wrong about the USA. The phpbb software comes from the EU so maybe they assume everbody uses DST during Summer in the Northern Hemisphere but that's a bad assumption for many world-wide sites. Some of the USA does not use DST, and the folks in the Southern Hemisphere who have DST in their summer (Dec, not June) are really in trouble.

I have missed out to check the DST option below time zone should be "NO" for me,
By the way, DST is one of the most stupid invention ever in history. Only cause trouble.
