Stats update suggestions.

1) It would make some sense IMHO to change the page shown when you try to access the stats during an update so that there is a link to the stats home page on it ... there isn't at the moment.
2) If hourly updates of the database can not be achieved due to taking so long would it not be possible to reduce the interval to every 90 mins (or increase it to every 3 hrs ... so that some meaningful comparason can be made between the 3rd party updates ... at present the difference between sucessive updates represent an alternating patern of 2 and 4 hours work.
3) Do the updates need to be run on the web accessable copy of the datbase. If it were done on an offline copy then the stats would be accessable for a grester proportion of the time ... they appear to be inaccessable for about 45 minutes every 2 hours at the monent ... and in fact if you are working on an offline copy then real time updates become a possibility ... this REDUCES workload as rather than record updates then update the database the process becomes an update database process.
I'm not suggesting that I know how practical these suggestions are ... but they are food for thought.
