20i was wondering if there are any Switches when using the 6.20 client i am running a E8400 @ 3.9ghz 2gb ram and win xp pro 32 bit running core 0 with 6.20 and running core 1 with the gpu client on my 8800GT

it may be normal but using the single client i only seem to be getting around 200 ppd off the cpu client, (allways getting amber cores) yet on my old sempron i seemed to be getting the same ppd?? is this just me or have i set something up a bit wrong?? as i remember a few years ago implementing a few switches which improved my ppd i have been folding on and off for 4 years now and still dont have a clue if im doing things right

also was thinking about trying the NO DISK linux option on my old pc in the grage (does this need to be hardwired (via LAN) or can i use my wireless dongle (netgear usb w111 v2))
also for the abbove what size usb pen drive will i need??

The WU size set to big may help your clients get larger work units which carry a points bonus. No guarantees, it's only stating a preference for Big WUs. If there aren't any available, it will get regular WUs.

USB size only needs to be large enough to hold your OS and FAH. 1 GB or more is probably safe. Check your OS install size before you buy one.

My question doesn't seem to have anything to do with switches but you Folding software experts may be able to better determine that than I. I installed the 6.20 system tray client on my old Athlon Thunderbird system at the end of last week. Is there a way to make it display the progress it's making on WUs inside the viewer window like the previous client did? AFAIK the only way to make it show how many steps it's finished is by mousing over the systray icon.

The viewer that's supposed to accompany the v6.20 client isn't really reliable yet. (You'll find a thread here asking for people to descibe the problems they're having.) I've never run it, myself, but I expect that it will give you the information you're looking for when it's finished.

Many people use a 3rd party monitor program (see the "Tools List" in the 3rd party forum). Personally, I like FahMon because it lets me monitor a number of clients on my LAN but there are other good choices, too.
