Does the new 6.22 client run under windows 2000 as I've noticed it's not listed on the download page and I can't get my Win 2000 machines to run the new client?

No, Win2k compatibility was lost with 6.10 if I remember well ...
Use v5 clients on Win2k.

That's a shame, I've got a lot of SMP machines that won't run after the extended V5.91 expires

Win2k is not supported by Microsoft anymore ... so it's normal that software developers also begin to stop support it too. (The same happened to Windows 9x)
P.S : a machine powerful enough to make SMP deadlines should run XP or Vista now instead of (very) old Win2k.

Is 6.20 supported on WIndows 2000? I get an error when I try to start it with the -configonly flag to set it up. Something about not being abnle to open a DLL. For now I have gone back to the 5.04 client, and have that running.
Thanks.

No problem, the v5.91 was extended until February '09.
No Windows 2000 Support?

From the clients download page, I notice that Windows 2000 is not listed as a supported operating system for this platform. While personally I do not own a Windows 2000 based machine, but some of the other people on the team I belong too have
noticed this.
Is there going to be a version of the 6.22 beta that has support for Windows 2000? Or is this platform going to not be supported any longer with SMP?

Nope. There are several threads about the lack of Win2k support such as:

I'm not suprised. Win98 support in a fah client all but ended a few years back. Now a few years later, Win 2K is getting dropped as well. OS support for typical software developers is current version plus one previous version. Vista and XP. But fah tries to extend that as much as possible.
The v5.91 SMP client was extended. And other v5 anf v4 clients are still around for older systems. Because the SMP client was such a recent development (by comparison to Win2K), I wouldn't expect there to be very many people with systems fast enough to run the SMP client that are also running Win 2K.
Thread merged.

Thanks for the correction. It's the v6.2x beta clients that expired in 09. I assumed the v5.x clients would use the same date, but the download page does say Nov 08.

Windows 2000 is supported till 2010. Is still widely used, and no where near dead.
The non support for it, is PGs own doing.
Most if not all needed files have been ported for it.
But I can understand PGs reasoning, for not trying to explain, or build a installer for users to get the needed files.
