web interface no longer works v8.4.9

As of this morning, I am no longer able to open the web site for the subject version. Has support for version 8.4.9 been terminated?

Is this still not working for you? There was a change on the server earlier today that affected all connections for the v8 Web Control, that has been backed out.
As far as I know v8.4.9 is still supported. Even the v7 client is supported for use though it is deprecated.

Even though older versions are still supported it is best to update to the latest one, especially when something stops working.
If the client version is still working perfectly, then yes, no need to update, but if things break, first thing one needs to do is update and check again if the issue remains. This is true to everything in PC world.

Version 8.4.9 is working for me this morning. I installed version 8.5.7-1 yesterday after the failure with version 8.4.9. I was not able to get it to work. It would only show information for the client on the machine were it was running. All of the other machines in my home network were shown as no resources available even though they were logged in and running. Searching the forum, I found several threads with the same bug with version 8.5. I will stick with version 8.4.9 until this problem is resolved.

What URL have you used to access your machines? When you update to 8.5, your url needs to be updated too: v8-5.foldingathome.org

I think that 8.5.7 is not functional. Where did you get it from ?
Stable version is 8.5.5 :
https://foldingathome.org/start-folding/ and latest beta version is 8.5.6.

The source code was downloaded from github and compiled on Fedora 43. I will download the source for 8.5.5 and test on one machine.

Head to foldingathome.org/beta and download RPM package for fedora and install that

I have downloaded the source for 8.5.5 and compiled. Install the rpm, it is performing as expected. I think I will pass on the beta for now.
