Hi
As the title says I cannot get my new 5080 to work with v7
I did get it to work with v8.5.5 with somewhat disappointing performance.
I wasn't sure exactly what my options were so I started a post over here

I wasn't sure if FAH Forum was still supporting v7
Try not to laugh too hard, I'm old, I'm slow (from Canada Eh!)

I Know Nothing!
I have been burned by too many useless updates...and the aren't limited to Windows.
Windows is still updating me after they said I had reached the end of their support.
I guess that didn't include their nagging...smh

Here is a log from when I had v7 installed.
I am not interested in wasting any more time trying to improve v8
You can't easily copy the v8 log like you can with v7.

Let's not get side tracked.

Please...How do I fix this?

You can easily copy fahlogs. just head to logs folder and open any log you want, in txt format.

So your saying that I need to search for the folders they would be kept in?
On v8.5.5?
I know how easy they are to copy in v7
Advanced Control/log...highlight/scroll/copy..etc

v7 has issues with 5000 series nvidia GPUs, you are not the only one. v7 is no longer supported, too.
client version has no impact in performance

Yes, nothing will be fixed specifically for V7, unless someone finds a workaround

I know nothing ....but I feel more comfortable with the response and details available in the v7
If you make a change, in hardware settings, you can possibly see a reaction how it affects production.
v8 doesn't show the details...the bonus for quicker folding.
Too much rummaging to find generic info in the v8

When I was trying to actively copy the log in v8 I thought you could copy directly from the log screen like v7..
What a nightmare of disappointment.
Scrolling along and realizing the highlight disappeared when it was no longer in sight!
Never occurred to go looking for the actual file..
Might screw that up...lol
