FAH System Info (from https://v8-5.foldingathome.org/machines):

Client: FAH v8.5.5 | Build: Release
Revision: 2c6fbaa45e4ee4854195a9f0d4b863...
OS: win32 6.2

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X | 24 logical cores | amd64

GPU 1 (gpu:03:00:00):
Description: gfx1201
PCI Device ID: 0x7550 (RX 9070)
PCI Vendor ID: 0x1002
Supported: TRUE
OpenCL: Compute 2.0 / Driver 3652.0
HIP: Compute 12.0 / Driver 4615.80
CUDA: unsupported

GPU 2 (gpu:17:00:00):
Description: gfx1201
PCI Device ID: 0x7551 (R9700)
PCI Vendor ID: 0x1002
Supported: TRUE
OpenCL: Compute 2.0 / Driver 3652.0
HIP: Compute 12.0 / Driver 4615.80
CUDA: unsupported

Driver: 32.0.23027.2005 (WHQL signed, dated 2/16/2026)
WDDM: 3.2
FAH Client: v8.5.5

Prerequisite?
Manual ROCm HIP SDK installation was done first,
Then standard AMD Adrenalin driver-only install

What was installed:
- Manual ROCm HIP SDK install
→ Places amdhip64.dll and ROCm libraries in Windows/System32
→ FAH 8.5.5 detects HIP Compute 12.0 via these system libraries
- AMD driver-only install (no full Adrenalin suite)

I'm new to F@H, but I ran into AMD 9070 card issues with ollama not long ago, and the manual ROCm install fixed that, it might be a factor here.

Results (Project 18245):
- RX 9070: ~2,757,375 PPD @ ~287W, 66°C stable
- R9700: ~2,980,962 PPD @ ~230W, 66°C stable
- CPU (8 threads): ~247,787 PPD
- Combined total: ~5,984,896 PPD

Note for R9700: Card has no display output in this
system — runs headless. 9070 also supporting 2x 4k monitors.

Hi,
What is the problem here?
I don't understand.
There has never been an issue running any GPUs in Windows on fah out of the box, except some select few freak issues when Windows decides to overright AMD drivers with their own.
There is no need for any rocm SDKs to be installed :)
The only thing that is needed in windows is GPU drivers from AMD website.
Now I understand that one of those GPUs is workstation GPU, but still there is no need for SDK installation, as AMD desktop drivers bring amdhip64_6.dll and opencl libraries required for fah
