Paid team

Hi, I'm wondering if there is any team currently paying for PPD / folding effort that is not bitcoin or any other crypto currency, otherwise paid in actual currency transfer. I know starting such a team would likely cost quite a bit and I'm happy to experiment in that area.
I'm sure others have thought of this before so if there are any considerations in regard to this, please kindly inform me.
Thank you for your input and efforts.

have a look at the team stats page and try to guess which one of them are set up with one of those penny paying schemes. Team names usually correspond with some stupid coins.
FAH does not pay anything, except free internet points. You are free to join the forums of those teams, and discuss your business plan with them.

I've had a look at 'banana' & 'cureco', but i'm asking in regard to any teams which are paying in a currency not related to crypto.

No teams are paying. I see no point for anyone paying for something which does not bring any financial returns. Do you want someone to pay you to generate some meaningless internet points in their name or under their team? No one is that generous

Or am I missing something here?

I surely see your view, but that is where I have to make the point that folding is an act of giving and also, nothing is truly disconnected. For example, I can run a fold, heat my home and give a researcher what they need. Folding could not be described as a total loss.
I wouldn't be willing to pay for the whole exercise, such as providing the PC or the entire energy cost. But I am willing to pay a small contribution where it is a win from multiple perspectives. I guess I'll have to start looking around for those who may want to get on board

Before you go any further, I would like to stress this point:
Anything you do in the name of FAH, will reflect on FAH as a project. If you start some monetary related initiatives, and have a dispute with one or many individuals regarding your initiative, their pov might be, that FAH is endorsing this type of behaviour and that FAH made them lose their money, or something like that. FAH does not need this type of exposure, that's why FAH points are free. Because where there are financial incentives, there are always people who try to take advantage of the system, who want to cheat the system. We have seen it in the past. So think long and hard before you endeavor in such activities

That's an excellent point and it's given me food for thought. Much appreciated

People can currently rent GPUs through various sources, and since they can pick hardware it covers most instances where people wanting to contribute can pick a dollar amount and go from there. There was one person I know of that did a "folding rental service" using solar, and would fold a set amount of points at a specific rate per day for money. I don't think it got much use and having just looked the web domain expired, so I don't think it worked out long term.
I'm not sure if you are more inclined to pay someone else to fold, or looking to have people pay you to fold, but in either case I'm sure it could be done. But I doubt people would want to do it without compensation above their costs. And really at that point a lot of people would probably just turn to rental GPU's since they can price shop and such.
