FAH doesn't work on CachyOS

I've been trying to install FAH on my new PC running CachyOS (Arch-based Linux distro), I git cloned the packages from AUR, but when I tried to start the service using
Code: Select all
systemctl enable fah.client.service
, it gives me the error
Code: Select all
Failed to enable unit: Unit fah.client.service does not exist
. How can I fix this?
My PC uses an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT.
Edit: I figured it out! I just had to use
to install FAH, and then
a
directory,
Code: Select all
systemctl start fah-client.service
.

fahclient service is fah-client.service, and not fah.client.service

The same error returns.

how did you build the package? yourself, or through AUR?

There is nothing "just" in Arch world

Have you followed the guide how to actually build it on that OS arch? And some pointers on other things are in the comments of my linked AUR page (which is what you used, it appears)

Forgive me, I'm a noob who only used CachyOS for a few weeks, Linux Mint and Windows 10 before that. How do you go about building a package?

I tried to follow this tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYiN8vDkacc for building the package, but when I tried to run
, it returns
Code: Select all
ERROR: Could not resolve all dependencies.

Isn't there an already built package for you to install from AUR?

No, you have to build it with yay

Why did you leave Mint and went with considerably not Linux noob friendly Arch way?
Best distros to start learning about Linux are Ubuntu, Mint and Fedora. A s after you are comfortable with those, you can jumpt to Debian, and some easier Arch based distros.
Even though I built arch package myself for my Endeavour OS system, I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly what I have done

The link I gave you has clues on what has to be done

. This is using my first git clone: trying to clone again results in
Code: Select all
fatal: destination path 'foldingathome' already exists and is not an empty directory.

So, on my linked page, it shows you some packages which are required. You are probably missing few of them.
Before I installed my FAHclient for my arch based system, o also tried conventional means of building the package. When it failed, I started installing some of the dependencies listed in the fah aur page. Then I was told to use yay, which was successful in compiling and installing the client.
Your video shows yay usage near the end of the video. Try that
