Hello guys, I'm using my computer to fold during the winter in Massachusetts. However, the FahCore recently has several crashed. I check the device manager and event viewer to see if my NVIDIA graphics driver crashed. It does not show the crash like nvlddmkm. I try to look at the error message in event viewer. Nothing found.
The only warning message is "Application error": The application was unable to start correctly (0XC0000142). What should I do to diagnose? My folding@home client is 8.4.9. I do not overclock CPU and GPU. I only overclock the DDR5 DRAM from XMP 6800 to XMP 7000Mhz (this is a 2X16GB RAM module).

Your hardware might be not stable.
First you should see what exactly happened with FAH at the time of crash. FAHclient has log section within it. Check if there are any errors in there (you can easily filter for warnings and errors). If event viewer really reports your fahcore_a8 throwing c0000142 error, then your CPU and/or RAM are unstable

Dear Muziqaz,
The Fah pops up with the crash error window. But there is no record in the event viewer.
Thanks for your suggestion. I will change my ram to a new 48GB X 2 DDR5 6400.

If windows is telling you FAHcore crashed, then it is definitely your hardware
