Hi folks,

I've been running Home Assistant along with the F@h (Folding@home) add-on for about a week now. Since it's a headless server (HP ProLiant) with no GPU, all the work is being handled by the 8 CPU cores. It usually takes about a day to complete an assigned work unit (WU). However, I expected to see multiple completed WUs listed and credited in my "Work Units" tab by now.

In addition, I have another instance running on my Windows 11 machine, where I use the GPU and one CPU core to contribute while I do office work. (Of course, I pause Folding when I play games — I need that GPU!)

I’ve set up my account and entered the correct PassKey in the HA add-on.

The problem is that only the work from my Windows machine is showing up in my stats/logs. None of the work from the Home Assistant add-on appears there.

Unfortunately, I can’t upload screenshots here — otherwise, I’d show you what the "Work Units" tab looks like.

So... what am I missing here? Any ideas?

Is the HA client linked to your account?
You may need to relaunch the client for it to pick up changes to user, team, passkey in the account.

Points are not attached to any account.
They are permanently recorded with the user, team, passkey in use when the WU is assigned.

Ive restarted the addon several times already.

So is there a way to search for say my passkey and see the WUs assigned to it? (besides the tab in my account?)

Glancing at their github page, it looks like it uses v7 foldingathome

v7 doesn’t have accounts

You need to set the correct user, team, passkey and they should appear in stats.

Well they dont....

And when i look up my user and passkey here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/bonus it matches my win11 stats, but my HA work is not logged....

I also noted that my HA web frontend does not show the project information... ill open a ticket with that project, thanks for the help!

Well, I stand corrected:

I do show up in the Team stats with all my work, both my windows and my home asssistant, 33 WU.

while, when I look at my stats with the link above, i see only 27 WU

funny hu?

use my username from here, all lower case, and look it up in https://apps.foldingathome.org/bonus says currently 27

then go to the HA team under https://stats.foldingathome.org/team/247478 and look at rank somewhere around 170-180 for my user name... says currently 33

Rest assured, I have copy pasted my passkey and user name several times out of my profile into my ha interface, made sure there is no special character in front or behind...

these numbers just dont match..... so, thewe's something awfuwwy scwewy going on awound hewe. to quote Elmer Fudd.

I also can report, if I download a certificate for my workunits, either from the web from here: https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/id/752941016 or via my F@h windows client, it shows the same WUs, thats currently 33WUs.

But my windows client in the stats fiew only show 27 WUs....

and the https://apps.foldingathome.org/bonus shows 28 WUs under my username, no change if i add passkey to the look-up.

One thing confusing is that the stats page will show work for the username regardless of passkey. The stats tab of the v8 web control will only show work for user+passkey

Usernames are also not unique and if the name looks like an email it will be truncated at the @ character

So, I would guess that you folded a few WUs with no passkey.

yes one WU with just a username, but i added the passkey during that first job already, and then i had to reboot, so the HA addon has been restarted with user/passkey since i updated the user/passkey informations.

Well, keep an eye on it.
If the numbers diverge further, someone else must be using the same username.
