Work unit dumped when updated gpu driver

I have a WU that's not being used by my fah client. It detected my newly installed video card as a low bitrate card and assigned this work unit but when I updated the video driver a new WU was downloaded and the other one is still on my machine at 0.1%.

This has been seen before on the v7 client. It appeared to be due to a timing issue with stopping and restarting, especially on Windows, at certain points in the processing. Usually setting the client to Finish will complete the WU currently processing and then resume processing the previous WU.

Just as a note, best practice is to finish any GPU WUs before updating drivers. Sometimes updating drivers in the middle of processing can cause errors that result in the WU getting dumped.

Thanks, I'll try that.

I let the current WU finish, then restarted the client but it did not resume the older WU. After the next WU finished I reverted back to the older driver and tried restarting the client, causing it to be detected as a low hash rate card like originally but it still didn't resume the old WU either.

Killed WU will disappear when it expires. On V8 it will not get finished
