I've been having an issue the past several days where when my client starts it will grab work units and complete them, but when it tries to get more it receives a 503 error which is interpreted in the logs as "No appropriate assignment" However if I restart the client it will grab new work units just fine and happily finish them. Lather, rinse, repeat. What's going on that I have to restart my client every time I want it to pick up new work units?
Ubuntu 24.04, client 8.4.9, two Nvidia RTX A4000 GPUs (driver 535.230), and I've set the slider to 0 CPUs.
Thanks!

...and of course now that I've restarted it again and am following the log while it finishes a WU, it goes out and grabs another one with no problem. Dang Heisenbugs, they change behavior while you're watching them...

Re: "No appropriate assignment" until client restarted
It is not a bug (kinda). In the beginning there might not be any assignment for your GPU, and retry counter starts piling up with retry to connect intervals getting longer and longer. When you restart the client or PC, retry counter resets and it tries getting work straight away.
