Passkeys/Generating Passkeys

Hi everyone,
I am brand new to folding and I am having difficulty understanding passkeys or at least using the correct one.
During registration it asked me to put in a passkey in hex between 31 to 32 characters so I made up my own, I think I thought it was an extra security measure for recovery. So when I logged in the passkey was empty so I can assume it didnt work because I didnt create it through folding@homes passkey generator?
And thereafter, I generated a key using anonymous and my email and later with this username and email and theyre both different. So I will use the newest one, but what happens to the other one? can I delete it or does it really matter?
Thanks in advance!

Passkey is not password or passphrase. It is not down to you to create one (passkey).
You can request passkey here:
https://apps.foldingathome.org/getpasskey
passkey is used for bonus points, nothing else. It can be entered in Account Settings (top right corner) once you create an account and log in

Use the one generated with your fah user name.
Pretend the old ones don’t exist.

You can use a passkey with any username, doesn't matter which you used to generate it. However each username and passkey pair will need be qualified for bonus points separately by completing 10 WUs.
Whichever passkey you don't use will just sit there in the system. If you use the same username and email, you will get that sent back to you.

Yes, I recently realised after reading the same piece 3/4 times, passkey and passphrase was different but in my head read the same. Cheers for the info!

for simplicity with the forum and FAH client, I will be using the username/email set for me to be able to keep track of the actual passkey. ahhh okay so Ill not have the WUs that ive done previously count because they were done with no passkey and username as default "Anonymous". Yes I tested that earlier same username/email and the email passkeys were the same so thanks for confirmation!

If you folded WUs under anonymous, it will be counted for that username. If you change your username, any following WUs will count to new username. If you change the team, old ones stay where they are, new ones will be counted for your new team

Perfect, that's clear, thank you muziqaz!
