new SMP windows beta clients: v6.22
Posted: Mon Jul 28, 2008 4:30 pm
We are pleased to announce the release to public beta of the first v6 Windows SMP beta clients.
version 6.22beta2 has been posted to the high performance download page.
A couple important notes:
Similar to the linux client, these clients support either SMP or uniprocessor mode. To run in SMP mode, you *must* include the command-line argument -smp.
We have posted files with the install setup for either Deino MPI or MPICH. Deino has been more stable, but we don't have 64-bit support at this time. MPICH will support either 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.
If you want a bare client executable, it is available at:
http://www.stanford.edu/~kasson/folding ... 32-x86.exe
This new version incorporates many features of the v6 client. We are in the process of updating our SMP client documentation; please bear with us. If you have feedback or bug reports, please post to the Windows SMP forum. The discussion thread is located here.
Thanks for your support of the SMP clients!
