10053 Errors from Flatiron work units

I'm getting a consistent stream of 10053 error messages mixed in with the progress steps in the log of the folding program grinding away. This is only happening with jobs from Flatiron University, and not from, say, Temple University or others. Is this a common problem from this source? I thought there wasn't even an internet connection needed except when downloading or uploading results.
Sadly, I don't have much of an internet connection where I live, 5M down and .5M up. Could this be the problem?
Also, I am not at all IT savvy, so I don't even know the proper words to ask proper questions. Just explain things to me as if I were 5! Thanks!
