But there is no one else who started in the year 2000 at the beginning of the project like me. Write below, thank you.

I switched from SETI@Home 14 years ago.

You are in elite company I suspect, me I'm just a newbie from 2008. My excuse is that where I was living in Australia 2000-2007 had no internet connection, or phone lines even until then. (and no functional satellite coverage either)

Don't know when I started, but I joined teammacosx on 1 June 2002.

I'm not sure when I started folding. My stats on EOC for Team MacOS X start on 1/1/2004 which is as far back as that site goes, so I was already folding then but I don't know how long before that I started. If ID number is anything to go by I started after FrancoV78 & before calxalot, so sometime in 2001 maybe?

As for forum join dates, the forum basically started over in late November 2007 so I don't think anybody has a join date earlier than that.

I joined the forum Sun Dec 02, 2007, and I beta-tested the new ATI GPU client on my ATI Radeon X1650 by making Windows XP indicate to FAH that I had an ATI Radeon X1900. I don't know when I started folding.

I started FAH somewhere in 2002, since it's the year when Athlon XP 2000+ was released, and that was my first powerful enough CPU to run FAH on. :)

I did distributed.net, SETI and a few other project before switching to something useful.

I think I folded my first work unit on a Cyrix 6x86 system. I know it took a long time, and I had to switch monitors to watch it since I only had one monitor then. I later folded a couple on an X2 7750 Kuma machine. Even overclocked highly, it took too long.

I wish back then I had kept at it and found the hardware resources to stay involved. Due to using the machines for business and other uses I didn't. So even though I knew of the project early on and gave it a whirl, I do not consider myself a long term folder.

Like many, I re-engaged when COVID hit going on three years ago. This time I plan on staying with it long term, since the advancements in hardware make it possible to fold without dedicated rigs.

Not quite as veteran as some, but I crunched my first WU in July 2005 (using an Athlon XP 2200+) after reading about the project in a magazine called CustomPC. I have been Folding 24/7 ever since ... bar the odd power cut and internet outage ...
