Writing data to disk.

I usually have Folding on my Intel iMac running because of the crontab startup.
But if I see the CPU temperature rise to 62 C, I use Terminal to killall fah6. Later on, when the temperature drops to below 40 C, I might restart in the Terminal. I shutdown every night.
The data is written to disk every 20 minutes. Slower iMacs will have longer times between writes.
Why not have the data written to disk every 10 minutes regardless (especially on desktops) ? This might increase efficiency.

you don't have to : if your CPU is too hot, it will automatically slows down, you don't have to look after to do it yourself ...
