128.252.203.10 Does not accept ANY uploads

I have 3 completed Work Units from 3 different projects that have been stuck in the queue and not accepted by 128.252.203.10 for over 48 hours now.
What is wrong with this server? Same response every time: ERROR:WU03:FS00:Exception: 10002: Received short response, expected 512 bytes, got 0

I usually find with that error that the wu has uploaded, but the server has not replied. It will keep trying, but I get the points after the first attempt.

Thanks for replying.
I'm not sure about whether I'll get the points, but I thought it might still be a good idea to let FAH know that there seems to be a serious error with either the client application, the server, or something in between.
If it was a one-off error I might have just let it slide like before, but now I've got a queue growing ever longer because the server or client is not clearing the completed WUs.

Hi rok65612- thanks for the report and apologies for the delayed response. Have these WUs been uploaded now? If not, would you be willing to post the project/run/clone/gen information for the WUs that are causing trouble? With that information I'll chase down the error codes that the server may be throwing.

Hi Juergen,
Thanks for the report. We had a major version upgrade to almost every FAH server on Monday which resulted in some issues with WU return. We've been chasing down the last missing WUs and think we have them all sorted out now. Is your client still listing these WUs as not returned? WU status (
https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu#proje ... e=1&gen=37) indicates that all of these WUs have been credited and I have the data on our end.

With the exception of Microsoft Security I don't run other software.
On top: as mentioned, that problem existed last week. In the begin this week suddenly all pending jobs rolled out successful. Now same problem as last week raised again - without any changes in my system

Hi wjha,
I'd agree with fz4z that this seems like it may be an issue with Antivirus/firewall settings as discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=37214&hilit=delete. If you see that your WU has been returned by checking the specific PROJECT/RUN/GEN/CLONE here:
https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu then it should safe to delete the WU on your end (you'll have already returned the data to us and will have been credited your points!). If you do nothing, I believe that the WU should be removed automatically from your computer once the WU passes the deadline (we will still have the data and you will still have the points).
I will ping a few folks and see if there's anything that we can do on our end about this in the long run to reduce confusion and unnecessary connections/uploads. In the short term, these WUs have at least made it back to us.

There might also be issues with your ISP, so try tethering the computer via the cell phone network or using VPN, and then see if the problem persists.

Do you use Kaspersky Anti-Virus? If that is the case, try turning off Network Monitoring of Port 8080. Steps below:
1. Go to the Kasperky Main screen
2. Click the Settings icon
3. Network Settings
4. Find the "Monitored Ports" Section
5. Click "Select" in "Monitor selected network ports only"
6. Port 8080 - Make Inactive.
Done. It should upload on the next try.

I have a similar problem with 4 WUs stuck. They stop while uploading at around 70 to 80%, retry and fail again.
The messages are like

Hi Monterone, Have these WUs been returned or are you seeing any different behavior on your end? I'm searching through the logs on our end and not finding any errors in reference to these WUs.Are these still only trying to upload to 128.252.203.1/10?
