Where is the bottle-neck RE: New Wu's

I know it is against policy to reveal source code for FAH, But could we get some insight as to how individual wu's tax our hardware.
Case in point are the latest crop { 5101 & 5102 }. The point value for 5102 has been bumped, which is great. I'm looking to address the future, Wu's are only going to get bigger & more complex.
Is the next generation of wu's going to need much larger L2 Cache , like the 12 meg that a Q9450
has. Or would doubling up on ram do any good?
I'm afraid the answer is going to be "Both",
Next option is to put in an order for a pair of CRAY XT5's
