Can we fold using GPU in light mode? it generates much heat in medium?

In Light mode, GPUs just don't fold. A GPU will either fold as much and fast as it can or not at all. FAH doesn't have any means to modulate the output. It is an all or nothing kind of operation.
But there are softwares around, for example https://www.msi.com/Landing/afterburner/graphics-cards , that allow you to limit the power or the voltage of your GPU.

In medium, the CPU by default is fairly heavily loaded, but by going into FAH advanced control, you can set the number of cores yourself. So you can switch to medium to allow GPU folding, but still limit the cores it uses on the CPU.

(Edit to explain a bit better, from memory)
Start FAHcontrol
Doubleclick on local (on the left side)
Go to slots
Select CPU
By default, the number of cores is -1, which means FAH determines the number of cores automatically based on hardware and settings
Change this to the number of cores you want to be used for folding
