3060 PPD

Good afternoon guys, do you know when there'll be more numbers on the folding.lar.systems about RTX 3060? There are, as of now, only 8 samples at an estimated 2,2M PPD. The reason im asking is cause I have a number of offers to trade my RX 5700 XT for an RTX 3060 Gaming OC (Gigabyte) since many bought em, but cant mine ETH, so they are looking to trade. Gaming performance is on par, PWR consumption is slightly lower on the 3060 and the PPD seems to be waaaay higher (RX 5700 XT : 1,2M PPD at 175W / 1,02M PPD at 125W). All in all, do you guys think that it would be a good trade on my part? :egeek:

The higher ppd may well be use of CUDA coming into play? ... This will probably give the 3060 the advantage for the foreseeable near future? ... Quick squint at prices might be worth it ... due to the mining issues the XT may be worth significantly more than the cost of buying a 3060 so a straight swap might not be the best thing (from a opurely monetary point of view)?

That was what I was thinking too. The GPU issue seems to be getting worse day after day. Within that mindset, my XT could be worth even more later on the year. Right now, most XTs go for 570~750E, where as RTX 3060 new goes, in stores, 750E starting price and goes up from there.

"Miners funding new GPUs for gamers and folders" isn't the outcome I expected.

I decided to go ahead with a trade. An RX 5700 XT Pulse for a RTX 3060 Gigabyte Gaming OC(3 fans). Lets hope for the best

Less than 200k PPD? Shouldn't you be getting close to 2M PPD?

Those look like points per wu readings not ppd but I may be wrong :)

Yeah, its per WU. -30% Power Limit in MSi Afterburner gives an estimated PPD of 1.65~1.8M . Stock settings was 1.9M PPD, but I only run 2 WUs, so that's anecdotal at best.
Later today I may try -42% Power Limit, to see how that goes.
I'm anxious to find those optimal points per watt settings.

Just deleted the wrong thing and lost the stats for about 17 stats. GG. :e?: :e?:

With 10 WUs with -42% Power Limit it seems to average at 2and a half hours for a WU, at 99Watts for a estimated PPD of 1,5M.
I had one moonshoot(?) WU in there, it took 3 hours to complete.
