It looks as if the updates of the info that is used to suply the information that goes into the third party update files is being done every 2 hours. The reason that I say this is that for some time now the odd updates (1am, 7am, 1pm and 7pm GMT) have added on average half as much work as the even ones (4am, 10am, 4pm and 10pm GMT). If the updates were done every 90 minutes then this imbalance would disappear.

I see the point of dropping hourly updates ... as these were taking getting so long to complete.

An alternative might be to update the third party files every other hour.
