I'm getting lots of unfinished WU's

I have a 12c24th cpu and can run CPU work units all day on some of the cores with my computer being completely usable. That is important because i actually need my computers performance, but i can spare a few cores.
Naturally, i have removed the GPU slot, because i need it myself.
Only problem is, everytime i start FAH, it re-adds my GPU slot and dispatches a WU to it. Which i have to cancel everytime because i need my GPU myself.
Any idea on how to fix this?

do you only have the computer on when you're using it? the GPU can easily be set to never do any work if you're using it but to work whenever you're not but it sounds like your computer is never really "idle" which is when Folding really benefits.
restart your computer
right-click on the folding icon in the system tray and open Advanced Control.
assuming the gpu slot is now present, select Configure, Slots, highlight the gpu slot and instead of Remove, click Edit. then click the Add button in the bottom right. A box will appear "Edit option". In the Name box add "Pause-on-start", in Value put "true"
This will mean that the gpu slot will never run unless you tell it to. If it gets work, ignore it - the work will eventually be passed to someone else. Once that unit has timed out, it will never pick up more work unless you unpause that slot.

Doesn't GPUS = "false" do the same thing? (This machine has no GPUs so I can't test it.)

The company that handles hosting this forum recently changed which cloud service it is hosted on. Things are still settling down, and occasionally there are disconnects.
