Now if FAH does not need this work unit any more, how do I delete it?

I have looked into some other work units my pc did recently.
This one has been assigned to 6 people including me, all of who successfully folded it, and in not too long time (some hours).
So it isn't that they assign it again if someone's cpu is too slow and they can't wait.

The first person did it already half a day ago when the WU was assigned again.
Then, the second person was credited and while he was uploading the WU was assigned to my pc in 10 seconds.
After I got credited, again in less than a minute it was assigned to someone..
And so on... (and all foldings seem ok in the last column on the link)
How does this work? How do things get duplicated (six times) sometimes?

This can happen if a server is miss configured or scripts break .. in the past when projects have been moved from one server to another the gen scripts have had issues because of the move .. posts like yours allow the researchers to be alerted to this and action taken to resolve.

I just completed WU project:16462 run:128 clone:4 gen:1 which uploaded successfully to 128.252.203.11 according to my logs. The points aren't reflected on the WU status page, but there is a record of a previous folder's work on this same unit (assigned, returned and credited all on December 9).

See my response here. I differentiate between problems associated with a single WS that need to be fixed by a server's admin and local problems that can be fixed by you. There's a third issue.

There's a centralized stats DB server to which records of completed WUs are transferred. The connection between an individual WS and the DB server can also fail. Thus WUs uploaded during one time-period may not get credit until that connection is restored. If the WS is fully functional. those stats records are retained by the WU and they'll show up at some future time. Maybe the connection can be restored by the WS admin and maybe it takes the admin of the stats server ... and both of those people are subject to holiday schedules. The FAH server-farm is a distributed collection of servers administered by multiple people, and if one of those people happen to be off-line for a while, a specific failure may not be corrected until they're back on-line.

Is it normal that 128.252.203.11 is re-issuing WUs for projects 16460 and 1646 even though they have been successfully returned as OK by someone else?

Is that something defined per project? I didn't think quorum was relevant in FAH unless the WU is returned as "failed" by a folder, in which case it gets re-issued to more than one folder?

I have not checked up on these particular projects, but sometimes this happens when a problem is detected during internal testing. The researcher may correct whatever was wrong and restart the project. That can result in WUs with the same PRCG numbers being reissued,

Another time this can happen is when a WU is returned to a CS instead of directly to the WS. If there is a long enough delay before the WU gets transferred back to the WS, the WU may timeout and be reassigned

There are a few other possibilities, and one type of situation where the WUs were recorded months apart. That happened a number of times during the initial rush to get projects out in the Spring. Researchers get assigned blocks of project numbers that are supposed to be used once. But some ran out of numbers and reused some from projects run last year instead of waiting for the next block to be assigned to them. The volunteers who do testing and look for problems try to discourage this as it complicates tracking issues.
