Newbie question

Hi,
Lots of posts on here about CPU and GPU. Most of them unintelligible to a newbie!
I've been folding for less than a fortnight, gained just over 300k points and completed all WUs with days to spare. No idea if that is good/fast or not, but keen to do more if I can.
So - GPU is faster and does more science, so the posts tell me.
How do I know if I have a GPU? The G stands for Graphics I guess? (cant find this in the FAQ glossary). If I have one how do I get FAH to use it? At the moment my control screen says "CPU:3" . I had a read through the moderator FAQ for Newbies post but really am none the wiser on this aspect of FAH.

I'm running FAH on my Windows10 laptop which is a Dell XPS, with a label on it saying Intel Core I7 8th Gen.

Advice appreciated!

Very few mainstream Laptops have a 'real' GPU, some use Intel GPUs (F@H has never folded on Intel GPUs) and some use very weak AMD or Nvidia GPUs.

If your laptop is advertises being a Gaming Laptop, it may have a discrete GPU that can fold.

Thank you JimboPalmer, it sounds like I probably don't have a usable GPU then - it wasn't advertised as a gaming laptop.
Which is fine, I can stop worrying about it! :)

If you post the top of FAH's log (see below) we can explain what FAH actually found in your hardware. we're happy to help anybody, even those who think their question is too stupid to be asked.
