Hi all!
Read that support for Intel GPUs was happening so though my laptop GUP could be of use.
I hope I've understood the adding procedure correctly and checked that the Hexadecimal for my GPU is not there in the updated GPUs.txt.

Intel GPUs are not yet supported. I don't believe there is a specific deadline when they plan to launch support.

Thanks, I saw what I wanted to see... Now that I read again is that it's still under testing.
I guees this topic is paused then for the time being.

Support for Intel iGPs may or may not be happpening soon, but it's currently in the early testing phase and not yet supported. I anticipate that the UHD Graphics 620 (Whiskey Lake) will be supported along wit the other Gen9+ iGPs at the same time.

Where did you read that these devices were supported?

Sounds good with Intel GPU support as I suppose a lot of people have them. Saying that, I assume that I can get more out if my 8 core laptop configuring it using 6 cores for CPU-folding + 1 core for GPU-folding rather than having 8 cores for CPU-folding as I have today; leaving 1 in spare as I understand that F@H has difficulty large primes and their multiples number of CPUs, prefering multiples of 2s och 3s over 7s. viewtopic.php?f=105&t=35543
Would that be a correct assumption do you think?

I rather misinterpreted that it was supported, wanting it to be that way based on:

Adds experimental support for Intel GPUs

1 - A number of Intel GPUs have been added to the GPUs.txt file. Most are listed as unsupported, a few have been enabled for internal testers to determine if support in the new version of Core_22 works and produces usable and accurate results.

I guess that's a logical guess from what you see there.

Unfortuantely, Intel has a long and checkered history in terms of FAH support. We're calling it unsupported for the time being and I don't expect that to change quickly but FAH never gives meaningful ETAs.

Assuming that the early testing is successful, your UHD 620 is Generation 9.5 so THE CURRENT PLAN is to support it. Theoretically it can produce 384.0 FP32 GFLOPS which is similar to a low-end NVidia GPUs but somewhat better than the basic threads of the same Intel CPU.

Thanks for the detailed input Bruce!

Well let's see if it happens and it won't make a big contribution to my overall PPD.
However "many small streams" as we say over here :)

At least I will be able to contribute 100% of my computer.
