Hi all,

I'm experiencing an issue that I haven't run into before. Maybe anyone can help to see if it's anything to be "worried about", or maybe can easily be fixed....?

I had a similar issue last night. I've got a dual GPU system, and one GPU updated and kept right on folding but the other got hung on "Updating" for a while. In advanced control I tried "Pause" and then "Fold" on that slot and it immediately started the WU and has been folding subsequent WUs since.

The core is the software that does the actual work on the donor's machines and there is a new one in town for GPUs: viewtopic.php?f=74&t=35624

Normally, it just downloads and it's done. Well, it did on my systems. I've read that during beta testing it happened that it didn't and that a reboot would do the trick.

Since only part of the log is shown, do you happen to have more than one GPU folding slot on your system? The core can not be updated while another GPU slot is actively using it. Pausing folding, and then starting just the folding slot that needs to update the core will allow this to happen. Once the folding core has been downloaded and installed, other slots can be started again.

If you do not have more than one GPU folding slot, then it is possible either that the updated core has not been made ready at the download location or that the download is not working for another reason. For that we would need to see more of the log file to get an idea where the problem is.

Thanks for the replies. I indeed have another GPU folding, so that is probably the reason then. I will update if the suggested solutions do not work.
