128.252.203.10 problem or WU?

I have one workload that has retried with varying upload percentage to 128.252.203.10. I've had numerous WU download/upload to other servers. Client version is 7.6.9. Based on trying the IP in the browser, it doesn't bring up the webpage as the pinned post suggested trying. One other server I tried did respond with web page.

Welcome to the F@H Forum esfishox,
Please note that the Server uptime is less than 30 minutes which would indicate that it was recently rebooted. Thus, you might be able to upload your WU now... if the server is under significant load, it might take a while

Nah, it's currently showing as down - Definitely something wrong with the server.

itmay have been rebooted but it's still not giving out work properly. Opens the connection to start the download but then doesn't follow through (what a tease!)

thanks for the responses and warm welcome!! I saw two evenings ago that it looked to have a tie against fah4, but I'm not 100% confident on that statement. This particular WU has been trying for almost 48 hours since then whereas several have been downloaded, processed, and sent back, even from this very server. I can write this WU off, but wanted to report in.

I am seeing no sign in the logs of the client trying to fall back to the CS ... Could you check if one is stated for the WU in advanced control?

Hmmm .. That server currently has one … It may be that this was added after the Project/WU was generated - or there might be an issue somewhere .. With the weekend upon us any issue might not get resolved for a few days … Possibly the best/only thing to do is let the client continue to keep trying to upload - hopefully it will upload before Expiration as some WUs do seem to be getting through, but if not the client will delete the WU itself without you needing to do anything

I've been looking at the server stats page for the last hour or so and they rebooted the server a few times meanwhile.

I'm not saying they won't get it fixed - just trying to manage expectations
.. I have never worked out if CS is set when project is created, when WU is issued, or continually when infrastructure is adjusted - I am sure the team will be working as they can to sort asap it is just that sometimes getting access to servers over the weekend can be tricky.

When I open
http://128.252.203.10/ it seems to take a LONG time. That probably means that the server is overloaded and facing a backlog of pending uploads like yours. Eventually there will be a natural ebb and flow of activity and you'll probably get through, but it probably won't be soon.
EDIT: I just tried it again and the landing page showed up promptly. What can I say?
