rx5700xt doesn't show up

Everything was fine until an unexpected power loss. my GPU slot no longer shows up.

What I've tried sofar:
  • 1. reinstalled (clean install) FAH multiple times with the latest version 7.6.9 and previous version 7.5.1 (just a random version I found in my download folder)
    2. reinstalled (clean) GPU driver
    3. add GPU slot manually
Right now:
  • 1. GPU works fine in other application except FAH.
    2. CPU slot is normal in FAH.
Edit:
GPU driver using 20.2.2 (latest stable)

Welcome to the F@H Forum MtKrRa,

This is a known issue for a fresh installation of V7.6.9 on a GPU system, here's a workaround for you:
Manually download the GPUs.txt file from here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/GPUs.txt (right-click save as GPUs.txt)
Exit the client
Copy the GPUs.txt file from the Downloads folder to C:\Users\matt\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient\
Reboot your system
Start up the client and ensure that you can see your GPU in the log file
Add a GPU slot from FAHControl -> Configure -> Slots tab -> Add -> GPU -> OK -> Save

Thank you for the prompt reply, I probably missed this info somewhere in the update.
This method fixed my issue, althogh there is already a GPUs.txt in the folder?
Anyway, thanks for the information.

Did you reboot your system? Reason is the client doesn't see you GPU:

Yes I did reboot, both before the fix and after the fix.
but only the reboot after the fix fixed the problem.

So the timeline is as follows: (just to make myself clear)
  • 1. installed FAH [GPUs.txt already exist]
    2. reboot computer
    3. GPU slot not showing
    4. replaced the old GPUs.txt with the new one
    5. reboot
    6. problem fixed
