This card was working in Windows to fold. I have the latest Nvidia drivers in Ubuntu 18.04 and Clinton reports card. I can’t add it to a slot. I don’t think I saw it in GPUs.txt. Does that mean it is not able to be used in Linux?
Thanks in advance.

The card should be in GPUs.txt, however you should check to see if you have the current list. The important item in the list is the device ID for the card, the description field may not be an exact match.
On Ubuntu you will need to have installed the nVidia proprietary drivers and their OpenCL support packages.
Also, which version of the F@h installer are you working with? The currently available version, 7.6.9, has some problems with setting up and configuring GPUs. First among those is that it doesn't reliably download the current copy of GPUs.txt.

It turns out I have the 2gb version and it wasn’t in the list. I had a quadro k2200 and installed it. I had the drivers and open CL installed. This card wasin the list. Turned on the computer with k2200 and it showed up and has been running flawlessly. The 18.04 is running so smooth I may run it on my main desktop if I could find a replacement for photoshop.

Do you have the Device ID for the GTX 1050 that you have? It can be added and help the next person with that variant. Though I am a bit surprised that no one has requested it be added in the 3 1/2 years since it was released.
