My GPU needs an upgrade.

Hello,
I have a computer running an older Intel I7 with a Ge Geforce 1030 GPU. This computer has been fatefully processing WU for several years. However, due to the massive number of new voluntaries (which I believe is truly amazing) my ranking position is starting to really decrease. Therefore I am looking to upgrade my GPU without breaking the bank. Most reviews and information about GPU deal with gaming performance however I rarely play any games on my computer.
In short, I am looking for some upgrade recommendation regarding a good folding GPU to upgrade my current system?

Welcome to Folding@Home!
We know very little about your case, can you add more cards, or do you need to replace the GT 1030? Do the cards need to be low Profile or single wide?

We really need to know a few more things:
What is your PSU? - this matters because a more powerful card will need more power and also will need PSU cables.
What is your budget?
Do you have a preference for new cards or are you OK to buy used?

The linked spreadsheet is so out of date as to be worthless. Use the last link.

The computer has a 650 watt power supply, I7-4770K, 32 gig of memory and a single solid state drive.
I would like to stay under $300 for the new card. I am thinking about replacing the GT 1030 with a GTX 1660 Super which is listed for about $240.

I think you can get an RTX 2060 for under $300. That should be quite a bit faster than the 1660 Super.

I hate to tell anyone to wait...but the next GPUs should be out around August? You might hold off until then. No clue what the price points will be, but usually there's something around the $300 mark.

Or if you're OK to buy used, $300 would get you a 1080 or 1070ti if you're lucky. But a 1660S would be a great upgrade and would fold pretty well but I'd see if I could find $20 down the back of the sofa and go for this:
