Folks I was running the F@H client through BOINC and as such was in the "Default" team.
Is there any way to transfer those WUs to the team I am in now that I'm running the stand alone F@H client
or are they stuck in limbo in the Default team?

BOINC and FAH are totally unrelated, so NO, you can't transfer anything.

Moreover, you can't transfer points from one FAH team to another FAH team. Once the points are credited, there are no changes.
