contributing to code on folding@home projects

Hi,
I am new here and want to contribute to the code of this project, at least on the python parts (which I know well), since I saw that the control app is written in python 2 and want to migrate it to python 3 (doesn't work on my linux distro, probably because of it and some imports are not installed, at least not properly).
After the migration (which is very important since the deprecation of python2) I will be happy to help in other programming assignments of course.
I started already to use the project to contribute on the science side
and hope to be able to help more than just that
