I saw another post on here about NordVPN, but I’ve noticed that when I have my VPN on (I use ProtonVPN), I cannot download work units but as soon I turn it off, it works. Is there any way to fix it so I can download work units without turning off my VPN?

This is very interesting. I wonder if the block is on the F@h assignment servers instead of on both NordVPN and ProtonVPN. I like the Proton team and I wouldn't expect them to set up some shenanigans on their VPN. I'm wondering though if you can exclude certain IP addresses from ProtonVPN, and I believe that you can. Do you have it set up on Windows or Linux?

If their vpn client supports split tunneling, try setting an exclusion for all things F@H. https://protonvpn.com/support/protonvpn ... tunneling/

When FAHClient needs a new copy of a FAHCore, does it need special treatment on the VPN?

You can test that by pausing a slot. Renaming the FAHCore, resuming the WU. The client should discover the missing FAHCore and download a fresh copy. Don't try it if you have more than one slot using that FAHCore and I wouldn't try it on a WU that has had a lot of progress since it was downloaded.

I can confirm that FAH works normally when connected to OVPN (http://ovpn.com/en).

Thanks for the replies! It seems to work now after I changed the VPN server a few times; maybe it was a fluke.
