Recommend one or more GPU's for my circumstances

OS: Linux Mint 19.3
CPU: Ryzen 3700X paired to Nuctua CPU cooler running 20 to 25F less hot than stock Prism.
16 GB DRAM
Platform: B450 Tomahawk Max with two available PCIE GPU slots (the current RX 480 is going back into the old Windows 7 box).
PSU: is a EVGA 750 Bronze.

Budget is about 1,500$ either in one or two GPU's. (maybe three if I put one in Windows 7 box, Windows 7 box can't handle triple fan GPU )
Preference is cool and quiet running at possible with long term best bang for buck doing Folding (I barely play games these days)

If Microcenter is open in Brooklyn or Queens I might go pick them up because they have pretty good prices there and I have sufficient protection, so I'm not concerned about going out. If not, Newegg or Amazon Prime it is.

Thanks for any ideas!

You could get 2 RTX 2070 Supers for that money possibly even 2080 Supers depending on what the local pricing is like.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TX ... owisguy-20

https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-Graphic ... 07Y2R5Y2G/
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Graphic ... 081W3L1SP/

The Gigabyte Gaming OC cards have the triple windforce fans and run pretty cool and quiet

Although, checking your PSU you may not have enough juice for 2080 supers.

A quick PSU calculator says 689 watt PSU for 2 x 2070's and 759 watts for 2 x 2080's

If you can find them on sale the EVGA RTX 2070 Super Hybrids are nice. They include a 120mm AIO liquid cooler and run nice and quiet. I have 5 of them and can run 2 in a large chassis and they are much quieter than running 2 dual-fan or triple-fan cards even in a large case as you generally have to run the case fans at high speed to keep the GPUs cool.

Thanks for the advice, I decided to start out with 2070 Super hybrid solutions. I appreciate the feedback.

For anyone else who finds this thread I wanted to say that the EVGA RTX hybrid is a really good solution at this time for the price point, noise level and heat dissipation. I have one 2070 up and running and am working out the plan for another.

Again my thanks to Juggy and Gordonbb.

A pleasure, glad you found something suitable. Those hybrids do look quite good. Thinking of adding one in my rig as well.

It has only been a few days in use but if this EVGA hybrid has the longevity in terms of no equipment failures with the AIO then I will be quite pleased down the road, as it stands of this moment I'm very much liking this product. It is relatively very quiet (by relative I mean a noise hating user like me) with the radiator being able to get a lot of heat away from the GPU.

Right now while folding this RTX 2070 Super is being kept at 53c. I'm using a Be Quiet! Pure Base 600 case which when I bought it late last year, I wasn't planning to make use of its AIO accommodating case design. EVGA suggests that the AIO radiator be placed above the GPU which is exactly what the case is designed for, so installation was easy. On the top of the case there is an insulated plastic lid that can be height adjusted.

At first I wanted to leave this lid at its snuggest fitting but I left it up two notches and then one notch. After seeing the GPU get to about 65c I decided to remove the lid altogether and that brought it down to 55c. My long time computer building experience will opt for cooler every time so I am leaving the lid off.

Admittedly I don't mind keeping my room a bit cool so I have my window open at the top by two inches in 48f (9c) weather.
